Insider scoop: Fake Taylormade Supermax

- The fake paint is a giveaway. Especially the Red tone. Remember Taylormade has a special trademark Red tone!
- Followed by the ugly text/fonts especially "Supermax"...its crooked. ROFL

A dose of Insider Scoop as soon as I have it:
There are fake Supermax FW Woods being circulated now! At this very moment!
The main dish is, its counterfeited by the same scumbag who counterfeited the Supertri Ti FW Wood. - oh let me correct myself, he did not counterfeit the supertri FW wood...LOL! He self-designed it! AHAHAHA
Seems like this guy has a fetish for woods....and likes to counterfeit and claim Japanese market so that people will be less suspecting. Well, if you are in USA, UK, you don't have one of these in your local pro shops, so you can't compare side by side.....harder for you to detect it! Man....

My 100% source is that this is fake. I mean there are fakes starting to circulate and I have a picture example of the fakes....of course there are the real ones and tourspecgolf has them! Peace of mind when you shop with them :)

HEADS UP! Hard Earned Money!!!!!

I wish Taylormade actually gives a shit. The supertri ti FW wood has been on ebay since how long? No one gives a shit and there are people getting cheated day by day.

May 2011 bring lots of laughter to your families and most importantly, a perfect bill of health!

Christmas and more

Hello darlings!
How was your Christmas?

Mine was full of FOOD. I think I'm gonna stay away from meat for like...2 weeks, OMG!
Lets see....beef, chicken, meat pies, turkey, creamy drinks, creamy cakes and puffs! OMG OMG

I secretly weighed myself today and thank God I'm still below 60KGs hahahah.
I'm going start going to do some cardio from tomorrow onwards for 20mins at least.

Next will be New Years... there's this huge beach countdown party on New Year's eve
I'm going....and I said I'm gonna quit alcohol. I must be determined! Fruit punch please! *.*
Dance to the latest tunes like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Taio Cruz, Flo Rida....whoooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Watch out for R11 heads with lousy paint jobs

Keeping it short and sweet here as I need to go wrap Xmas presents (LOL!)

Watch out for a batch of R11 heads now that are not 100% genuine stuff
Insider scoop is that there are a bunch of stolen heads = 'blanks' (heads that are raw metal...no paint, no inserts no nothing)

Smart alecs will then work on the blanks THEMSELVES!!!!! OMG!!!!! Like add on to it....so its 50% genuine probably. The giveaway: the paint job
Always also remember that Taylormade has a trademark red, white and yellow paint color tone. A sharp eye will catch it.

Merry Xmas!

R11, a word of warning for those who 'can't wait'

Some R11 heads are now being sold, of course, fans can't wait and will pay a high price to 'get it first'.
Just a word od warning from inside sources, check the AST plates (Adjustable sole technology) to make sure you're getting a real deal.

The case now is most of the AST plates are fake, catching impatient buyers off guard. Just like the FCT sleeves, if the AST on your driver is not genuine, you can't change the face angle of your driver. Sorry

Taylormade is giving us one more thing to worry about now. Not just the FCT problem, we now also have the AST problem. Genuine vs Fake debate continues it seems.

Pictures posted. Left = fake. Right = genuine.

Just don't want people to pay too much for something not so real.

Taylormade R11

Golf clubs now, is all about adjustability and Taylormade is keeping up to it。
Instead of just FCT, the new R11 will feature FCT + a new AST (Adjustable Sole Technology)
This sounds like fun...besides, cosmetics wise, its very white, very pure.....a lady like me digs it!

The R11 FCT sleeve adjusts the loft and lie of the club. Unlike the supertri and superdeep and the R9 series....this FCT does not adjust face angles.....because now we have AST!

Oh, TP version depends on the sleeve as well. Heads the same

I can't wait!

Someone's interested to hack into my email account....lol

Looks like I've offended someone lately with my disclosures, oops.....someone tried to hack, snipe and steal my email password. Thank goodness I'm quite a technology wiz kid myself and I managed to trace the origin of this piece of shit. I know who this person is.

My message to you because I know you come into my blog occasionally to peek around (especially lately since a certain revelation)...... Erm, get a life? Don't dig yourself a deeper hole than it already is now? Come on, seriously buddy. You're just making a fool of yourself

Re: supertri ti fw wood

It's no surprise that many people have been surprised at this hoax.
Look: I am not trying to discredit Max. I do not know him, it's like, we have not even met, so I am in no position to judge.
So, whether he knows, and is deliberately selling it, OR NOT, I have really no idea. He seems like a handsome nice guy that's all!

Here's the thing, I state what I know, with integrity. There can be uproar, there can be unhappiness, there can be finger pointing.
However, at the end of the day, you know what's the great news? THE TRUTH WILL COME TO LIGHT

So some choose to think that it's fake, some choose to believe that it's real....you'll know sooner or later.
By the time you know, if it's too late, just take it as a lesson learnt. We all need that from time to time.

*Max, I am not trying to badmouth you. I am only interested in addressing the supertri ti wood issue, and you happen to be the one selling it on ebay. Whether you know it or not, it's not my business. That's really up to you. You have not done me wrong so all this, is not a personal attack towards you. Also, there is no need for you to report this blog to ebay, is there? I can't believe you did that. I mean, what's your point? Duh!

I hate waiting for answers

Thanks for all your well wishes. I have received emails and I am indeed touched and feeling blessed by encouraging messages.

I do not have an answer now, more tests and scans must be done and we will only know 2 weeks later once the results are out. Its a long wait if you are on government medical subsidy rate. If you have your own health insurance, you can go on a private rate and have yourself diagnosed within the same day. Too bad, my mum realized the importance of insurance too late. After her 1st cancer diagnosis, she was uninsurable.

The feeling sucks for sure, not knowing, guessing, fearing for the worst. The next 2 weeks is going to be tough. I'm pretty sure I need not go on a diet, I'd slim down naturally. I can't even eat a decent meal now. If its this hard for me, I can't imagine how hard it is for my mum.

I try to stay positive, but...

Wednesday, October 20, 2010

These few days...

I thought I was just busy with work and can free up my time over the weekends。
Maybe not

Something unexpected came up. My mum might have a cancer relapse. We do not know yet for sure. I was only told today...she sensed something was wrong last week, but she kept it to herself. She told me today while I was playing golf....my score was like....101 and I haven had any apetite since. I was just a little girl when she was first diagnosed. She fought hard, she said she fought for me. She wanted to see me grow up, get married, have kids. As a little girl back then I was scared. The word CANCER was big and scary. Now, it still is scary but I guess I am at a better place now mentally to care for her, compared to when I was smaller.
Ironically, I have always prepared myself for this day...but now, seems like my worst fear might be coming through and I don't want it to be.

I will be accompanying her to the doctor's tomorrow. I am prepared for the worst...although I hope it is nothing serious. She's 63 now. I don't think she's prepared to give it up just yet.

So, if you email me and I reply slower than usual, please try to understand. However, rest assured I will still check my emails.

God Bless us all!

Taylormade R9 Supertri Ti Fairway wood

So, there has been hot news about this Taylormade Supertri TI Fairway wood. I had good friends asking me if I can get my hands on them. Thats how I came to know about this club! I was surprised, because my contacts never have a clue about this. One of my contacts even told me its a fake.....I did not want to believe it at first....I was 50-50. Part of me was thinking, maybe he can't get it, so he is doing the whole sour grapes thing by saying its fake.

Today, a close source (reputable, trustworthy) confirmed to me that it is a hoax. No such model be it Japan, Europe or US market. No such model now, no upcoming model like this.
So what? So...some sick guy (from china) basically 'produced' this. LOL! He think's he works for the R&D department for Taylormade or something? I mean come on, this is outrageous. To pirate a real club or clone is something, but to produce something that is not even a real model and to sell it like its some kind of ' tour issue pre-released' club? I think thats sick....there should be a special room in hell for a deed like this. Oh and I know how much he sells it for... the price he sells this stupid shit for, is even higher than the price of a genuine fairway wood that I sell....sick!

I know there has been a lot of interest in this on ebay and on popular forums like golf wrx. Most of my friends are frequent visitors on ebay and the forum. I just sincerely hope none of you are affected. If you are affected, I hope you get your money back.

I saw some sellers on ebay selling this and most of those sellers are reputable sellers. I am sad that they got cheated.

I am not trying to be gloat, but to those old fashioned people who always believed in this: "Never buy from overseas, only trust US based sellers or golf professionals" or "Coming from Singapore it must be fake".....2 words for you - TAKE THAT!

Fakes are made to look more real, and now what is worse is that there are self-proclaimed R&D designers out there. The world is getting darker and darker my friends. I know who is behind this. I mean, I know the guy who designed this, I know his name (not his real name, he keeps his identity well protected), I know who he distributes to...and in turn these people sell to other countries like US, Europe etc....its basically like a supply chain. This guy knows about the golf industry. That is why he knows he should call it a Supertri Ti...Ti are mainly popular for Japanese models and he will say its 'japanese market pre-release' in response to questions like ' how come I never seen this model before'. How'd I know? Lets just summarize it to make things quick: In January 2010, I lost $5000USD to a scam similar to this. Painful at first, so damn painful....but soon I realize I had to come to accept the fact that I am never going to be able to get that money back. My fight for justice included police reports, hiring of lawyers and private investigators. I spent more than what I lost even though I knew I am never going to be able to recover my money. I did what I did because I simply could not take it lying down. Who likes to be cheated? Well cut the long story short....police were useless....lawyers were gold diggers, private investigators gave me the best leads. I traced it all the way to the mastermind. I had all reports and evidences....I told myself I will expose them on the web. I am going to put that name to shame, months passed and maybe my anger mellowed. That thought slowly evaporated from my mind....sometimes I still think of it, I think of revenge....but I tell myself revenge is bitter, forget it "Those who plot the destruction of others often perish in the attempt" -Thomas Moore. A part of me wanted to calm down, make peace as I ' did not want to find trouble'. Hey, look where it leads to. Did that guy 'repent'? No...he continues doing shit....he DESIGNED the supertri FW wood. My ex-boss used to tell me that I have a weakness, and that is I do not have the ability to make firm, strict decisions. He says I get angry for a while and then forgets about being angry. "You can't be everyone's friend, sometimes you need to pull the plug" he says.
I know one day I will let out the whole story I went through....about being cheated, about what I found out. When I am ready, when I have healed completely and when I can find time. I did, however, write to the brand managers with my findings and they assured me that they are working on it. The only reason why it takes so long, they tell me, is because when it involves 2 countries, it is always harder to deal with the law, but they assured me they are aware of their battle plan. Look, it was never my intention to announce that I was cheated before okay. That's a chapter I'd like to forget, but I need to share my story so that people will not fall into the same trap. This guy might have profited $5000 from me, but I don't want him to profit more from others. It must stop.

Oh in case you feel sad for me, don't be. One month later I won the lottery. I mean I am not a millionaire, but I won $4700 (Singapore dollars)....its not like I won back the USD5000 I lost, but at least I got back something. God is really good.

I guess the bottom line is as simple as finding someone you trust, and stick with this person. (I am not trying to make you say that the person should be me) AHAHAHAHAHAH!!
Seriously, its like finding a wife, husband, finding the one and stick with it. Try not to stray...

So, the purpose of my post is to warn you guys, to beware. That being said, if you bought it from anyone in the US, try not to blame that person, ok? The US guy probably also got cheated by the freaky mastermind. Let's go after the real culprit and bring him down.

It gets trickier, as we are not just dealing with fakes now, which you can compare side by side with the real one. We are dealing with self-proclaimed pre-released tour models. Its hard to distinguish, right? Its supposedly pre-released so you do not have a real one to compare it with....I guess the main point I can get out of seeing this happen is, one can never let their guard down.

Anyone have the supertri FW wood? I want to know if a magnet can stick onto the head? Oh and the paint looks funky too right? Taylormade uses a specific tone of yellow, red and white paint by the way. Erm, I also wonder if the weights are for real. Is 8G really 8 grams or what? Even that little dot on the 'T" on the club head is the stroke of a genius serial cheater. How does he sleep, seriously? Is life even worth it if you live a life like this?

I am not trying to act like a saint, but what I have is faith. I think faith is everything. With faith comes positivity, integrity, faithfulness, trust, maturity and what not. Faith keeps a person from cheating, from greed. That is why i think religion is important. Just my opinion.

Peace.....going to get some supper. Dinner was horrific and I'm hungry now. LOL!

*By the way a similar case like this happened before. The CGB Max era. Some guy designed his own CGB max hybrid. History repeats itself. (pic attached)

Take care people!

*Added 28 Dec 2010:
Another tell-tale sign:
This seller on eBay has loads of these heads! I don't wanna mention names but you know if you do your due diligence.
If its authentic how can he get so many?
There is NO WAY! Insider scoop, be it tour vans, staffs, factories or what-not, the major brands are now controlling very tightly regarding the leaking of Pre-released equipment. There is no way this dude can get his hands on so many heads - if they are real.

Well on the other hand, if they are counterfeits...he will have a whole container of heads! HAHA

I know, some people see these mentioned on tourspecgolf and assumed its legit. I wonder has anyone working inside tourspecgolf confirmed it?
All it was, was this simple - someone posted on the forum of tourspec golf. That's all I see. Did any tourspecgolf employees confirm or endorse it? I don't think so. I dont see them selling it either.

I have confirmed with my friends inside Taylormade...also confirmed with good friends who has inside contacts to Taylormade R&D in USA and UK....this 'model' is unheard of.

The mystery continues I guess

*Jan 2 2011: Edited- Removed eBay seller's (selling this wood) name because he emailed me and I thought I should cut him some slack.

R11 uses new FCT sleeves

Oh my God!
The R11 will feature another kind of FCT sleeve again!
Taylormade fans are complaining already...

Making lemonade when life throws you lemons?

My oh my! Its going to be a busy Oct - Dec for me. Just started this new business with a friend and I'm in the office almost everyday to get things running. Can't wait for operations to ease out so that I can have my old lifestyle back.
Its been busy but I am coping well. Shipping out items are done in the morning before I head to the office. Great news is theres a post office just next to my new office. Cool!

Anyway, recently some friends have emailed me, asked me, how do they handle difficult customers? Difficult as in:
- Particular about shipping time
- Customers who accuse you of selling fakes
- Customers who complain about the smallest, most minor little scratch on... a ferrule?

If you want to stay long in the business, there is absolutely nothing you can do other than to suck it up, and do what your customer wants you to do.
Like how a guy commented on my other post about me whining....theres actually no point in complaining. It is what it is yeah?
I guess I am feeling more positive now. The negative energy is gone.

So I told my friends, you can either 'not give a shit' or just please the buyer by giving an exchange, refund whatsoever. Of course if you think he is stepping over the line, taking advantage of you....or if you simply can't stand him/her....theres always a page on ebay where you can block certain buyers. Also you can treat their emails as junk mail. LOL.

Take it easy....how interesting can life be if there's not much of a challenge?

I hate LA Angels!

OMG I stayed up throughout the night to watch MLB, and LA Angels can't freaking win the game?
They scored ZERO after 9 innings!
WTF?!??!?!?!?

Ok I'm sorry U must be thinking I'm nuts. LOL
Just a MLB fan who punts a little bit (obviously I lost money today)

F u Angels!

Good night!

Thank You for all your well wishes

Firstly, I would like to Thank You ALL for your well wishes and encouragement.
Since I posted a few days ago about my recent struggles as a seller on ebay, I have received numerous comments and emails from you guys.
I was really touched to know that you guys actually remember this girl from small singapore. LOL

So many well wishes and encouragement from you guys, with my migraine attacks, my new job that requires travel, with the struggles of ebay, you guys really touched me!

Well, the struggle on ebay continues, buyer satisfaction turned to Amber color. Was green all the way at first.

Anyway, based on all the feedback and encouragement, I have learnt ti fight on! Giving up has never been my character. I guess I was just too frustrated a few days back. After a few days, I stand tall again like a warrior ready to battle on.
I will try my very best, including begging for 5 stars DSR, LOL
Lets see where this leads too.
All I know is that I am not giving up without trying.

I have to admit I was slightly distracted away from my ebay business, as well as my online golf business. Some customers even ask me why they have not heard from me for so long, did they do something wrong? (I will usually email my regulars whenever I get new stuff).....so my regulars are also feeling my distance.
Well. apart from the migraines, the travelling, I have been distracted with something else for the past 1 to 2 months. Its taken a lot of my time and I am learning to slowly cope with it. It is personal, but I am starting to deal with it in a way that it does not affect the whole 'balance'.

Anyways, thank you all for your continued support.
This friendship will last forever!

Time to break the silence

I logged into my blog and I checked, has it been 4 months already since I last wrote here?
It has been THAT long....whatever the hell happened to me? Where did I go?

I'm still the same old same old....got a new job that requires more travel....like at least once a month.....so I'm new to this whole travel frequently thing and it can really break one's momentum! Been trying to adjust, keeping up with things but things have not really worked out smooth.

Is it still worth it?
Since April as some of you would have known, I was heavily criticised on eBay for receiving low DSR feedbacks for 'shipping time'. I was stripped off powerseller status and given very much lower search rankings on ebay for my listings. My plan of action included communicating more with buyers explaining to them about the shipping situation and expected arrival times....also of course, begging for good feedback and high DSR points. Hell, the same shit still happens. There would be people who simply likes to leave a 1 or a 2.....or a neutral feedback for slow shipping time. I slowly decreased interest in selling on ebay or even selling as a whole.
I still serve a lot of my regular customers who buy from me behind the scenes but I really began to lose interest selling on a 1 to 1 basis on ebay. I began to detest it, 90% of the people I've met are great, amazing and really beyond what you can hope for, but the remaining 10% are so mean, its mean enough to make me decide I may wanna just give it all up. People who will write to you saying (in a rude manner) "I PAID 3 DAYS AGO, WHERE IS MY ITEM? I WILL REPORT YOU FOR FRAUD IF YOU DO NOT RESPOND". Of course I have to reply politely, right? Deep in my heart, I curse this stupid S.O.B! WTF I've written clearly on my listing the exact transit times to be expected and you wanna report me for fraud after 3 days? Really?!
There are more atrocious messages I have received these last 4 months. Anyway...

The lost of interest
So I began thinking that selling on ebay is all BS. BS rules, BS people, BS feedback and DSR. I took very little interest in selling on ebay. I appreciate every customer that bought from me, I really do. Especially some who mentioned that I was referred to them by a friend. I just listed the same listings over and over again.....in all honesty I have so many other good stuff here, different variety of sleeves that I have not even listed on ebay until today....because like I said, I am losing interest.
Of course I continued to do my part by posting out on time....ship stuff out.....but I just totally did not care about uploading new listings, updating my blog. Even when it comes to leaving feedback for customers and sending them their tracking number, I do it like once every week (I used to do it everyday). I just did not find joy in doing this anymore. Discouraged would be the perfect word for how I feel.

The final straw
Ebay finally wrote to me, again.
My average 30 days DSR for shipping is now 4.4
BAD
You need to maintain a 4.5 to stay in business. You see one sweetie can give you a 5...but all you need is an idiot to click on a 1 to ruin it all.
So yeah....
I will not be allowed to sell on ebay come September if this situation does not improve.

Being a strong-willed person, I came up with a plan to fight back. You know? Regain my status.
I started writing to buyers again, begging, I even offered some customers free FEDEX upgrades. All in the hope of improving the situation before september.

I decided its really not worth fighting
Just mins ago, I decided to give up. If I shall be kicked out of ebay come September, so be it.
I walk off with my head held high. I did everything I could.
I did not cheat anyone of their money
I sold legit stuff
I was doing a reputable business
The only shortfall was in its shipping time, and that's beyond my control. So, all in all theres nothing for me to feel ashamed of if I lose my ebay selling account.

If I were to sell a 2009 Taylormade sleeve at $35 buy it now (without best offers) - would anyone buy it? NO. I had to sell it at $25 and even listen to some offers lower than that. I had to ship the cheapest method which of course takes a longer transit time. If I sell it for $35 I'd ship it with FEDEX, no problem.
So people want the 100% genuine stuff, cheapest and fastest.

I promise to ship on time, but if you can't understand the transit time part, I'll not waste time either. You may want to try other ebay sellers who are closer to you, that way you'll get it faster.

The last week, was probably the scariest time of my life. I literally had a health scare. 3 times in a week, I suffered the same symptoms: Blurred Vision, Severe punching headache, numbness on 1 side of the body, followed by vomiting. I also had fever and a flu. I decided to see a doctor when I actually thought I saw I vomit blood on the 3rd occurrence. I went through many tests, and its nothing serious (not as serious as I thought...I mean I thought I had a tumour or something). The doc said its probably just a severe migraine attack and that was probably ketchup instead of blood I threw up.
I was told to 'rest more'.
I did not manage to post items as swiftly last week because of this drama. One guy sent me a message like 2 days after he paid, asking me for a tracking number. I told him I'm not feeling well so I have not posted, but will do so the next day.
So when I gave him his tracking number, I also begged for good feedback in that same message.
His reply was horrible (as attached above). He complained that the tracking number is not updated on USPS.....but its completely normal. USPS does not update registered articles on their website live until it arrives. All of you who bought before knows this for a fact. He goes on and on and says that I am BAD.
Yup, I have had enough shit trying to keep myself together and keeping this whole ebay crap intact.
After reading his message, I decided that its no longer worth it.
Come September if ebay suspends my seller account because of low shipping DSR, I will not fight it. I will not appeal it. Its now really all in the hands of existing buyers who have not left feedback yet.
Taylormade, Nike and Cobra shaft sleeves I have them all now, but if I am taken off ebay, I'd not sell them anymore.

Thanks to buyers who are not understanding enough. Thanks to people who wants the cheapest and the fastest.
Ebay is bullshit with this new seller performance rule (especially for someone like me based overseas), but maybe some of the buyers on ebay are the real culprit.

Thanks for all the support on 'the world's greatest online market place' all these years.
All good things come to an end they say.
Maybe it really does.

oh, for your info, I refunded that guy $25. I know I am not obliged to, but he made it sound like I am such a bad person, like I wanna cheat his money....I figured I'd give him one for free.
It might be the medicine that I am taking that makes me this moody....I really am not in any sweet talk mood right now. Besides, by giving the refund, the 'blood is now on his hands'. (Yes I want to instill some guilt)

Sorry for all my rudeness in this post....but I really have gone through a very disappointing 4 months fighting this new seller performance rule

No longer a Powerseller on eBay (NOT FOR LONG!!!)

Just this morning after I woke up, I checked my emails.
I got a notice from eBay, stating that my DSRs have fallen below average and I am stripped off my Powerseller status as a result of that.
I investigated further, and it was mainly because of my DSR for (Shipping Time). The rest of my DSRs were excellent, almost 5 out of 5 stars.

Well, I did not have such problems in the past when I was selling clubs and clubheads, because I would ship with FEDEX and it takes only 48 hours to get them delivered to the buyer.
However, with sleeves, I ship using the post office's registered mail service......sometimes to FL, TX, TN it can take 2 weeks (and my worst experience is a month....but does not happen often, 1 in 300) Now, I do not really sell clubheads and clubs on ebay....because all my regular customers would snap them up when I have them.....so there's no more left to sell on Ebay. What I sell on ebay, are sleeves and shaft adapters.
There's no point shipping a FCT sleeve using FEDEX, it cost $20 just for shipping alone! Imagine how much more I would need to price my sleeves if that were the case. The post office would cost me $3.65 with the packaging and thats how I manage to offer free shipping on eBay.

I have not been in the best of health last couple of months too. I've been hit with flu virus very easily and I have not been visiting the post office everyday like the past. Maybe that's also a factor with my low shipping DSR.

I guess buyers also need to understand that DSR is rated for how long did the seller take to ship the item, not how long was the transit time.
Well, with every setback, comes a challenge to overcome it and come back stronger.
I will work hard on improving my DSR, make it a point to visit the post office everyday even when I am sick.....and beg my buyers to leave me good DSRs.

I intend to improve on my DSRs within 1 month and get back my powerseller status.
I need to improve on my DSRs not just to get back my powerseller status, but also to continue selling on ebay, or else I risk limitations on my eBay account. Oh My God!

Please if you buy from me on eBay, help me, leave me with 5 stars. I'll do my best and I hope you can be satisfied.
Its the only way I can continue to offer great stuff at a competitive price.

Password scare, LOL!

I almost had a password scare! LOL

Just yesterday I changed my email password. I wanted to make my password 'more complicated' to minimize the risk of being hacked.
So I went ahead and created this ultra long password comprising of upper case and lower case letters, numbers and several symbols. LOL!!!!

When I tried to log on today, it says 'password incorrect'.
I was like 'holy shit, I changed my password to be so complicated that I myself could not recall!'

I told myself not to panic, I had a vague idea of how it should look like.....it was only 1 day ago, my memory was still quite fresh.
So I spent the last hour creating a list of possibilities............after 29 tries, I managed to get it!

Lesson learnt for sure :)

Oh man! I found out something...

Maybe because it's a small world, maybe because God is good, maybe because karma's a bitch... I managed to find out something about someone today

Remembering that karma is a bitch, I've decided to just know about it and 'swallow' it. No need to 'announce' to the world......unless there's a need to.

Well, the golf industry is small. Indeed
A well respected guy in a very popular american based golf forum has been selling stuff for a long time. He owns a golf shop too. His reputation is good. In fact, I'd say he has 'master' status. A lot of people look up to him and respect him. Enuff said.

So, I do not know why, but like 2 hours ago, a piece of evidence just fell into my hands, evidence showing that the 'so called' [tour only] clubs he's selling are shipped from china. (I did not instigate an investigation....this piece of info just dropped to my hands) An anonymous person gave me these evidences.
What does that say? Well, one word came to my mind - contradiction. How can you possibly tell people things like 'buy safe, buy from USA or take your chances elsewhere' when you yourself buy stuff from a dodgy origin?

I've never liked to bad mouth people behind their backs. For this case, it felt ultra pleasurable for me to find out about what I just found out. He did bad mouth me before, I do know know him, we never met, we never spoke, yet he tried to hurt me......so I guess this is what I mean by Karma's a bitch.

Anyway, I'm going to leave it as it is. I'm not going to reveal who he is, I'm not going to showcase to the world the evidence presented to me. I'd rather mind my own business.

Of course, the great part here is, if he does cross my line in future, I will have a whole lot of story to tell.

I am the kind of person who prefers a 'I mind my business and you mind yours' kinda relationship.

Until then, I thank God for showing me the light.
Also, I thank anonymous for giving me such precious evidences. You made my day....in fact you probably made my whole week! ♥

Its just a ferrule, chill out!

Interesting, a buyer asked me, if the ferrules I were selling for the 2010 FCT sleeves were meant for a .335 or a .350?

I replied 'it fits both', as I have personally tested it out.

Came a reply that another vendor mentioned mine was just an OEM.

Laugh Out Loud!

Who is this 'other vendor'? It leads me to wonder...

well, the truth is yes, there are 2 sizes, but I took a .335 and tested it on a .350, it fits perfectly, so what gives? The Minimum Quantity for me to bring these in is 2000pcs.....I'd rather order 2000pcs of a size, rather than to commit 4000pcs for 2 sizes, you know?

Anyway seriously, its just a piece of plastic so chill. (but make sure it does not break when u squeeze it....cos only a genuine one can withstand the pressure...only then you will judge for yourself if mine is an OEM or a real deal)

Chao!

My very 1st negative feedback on eBay. Surprise surprise!!!

WOW! So while I was enjoying my Hagen-Dazs ice-cream (Macadamia Nut) flavour, I clicked the refresh button on my eBay page.
Weird, my feedback score is 1167...I was thinking I thought it was 1168 just now?
"Crap, a negative?" I spoke to myself. I opened my feedback page there it was: - A BIG FAT NEGATIVE RED FEEDBACK staring at me.

Worst of all, the feedback says: "Fake, straight bore through, should have known from singapore"
You guys who follow me closely know that I never sell fake Taylormade sleeves. In fact after all I've done, writing articles to help people identify fakes (I usually write articles at mid-night...sacrificing my sleep), I would never be selling fakes.

There's only 2 possibilities here:

1) This is a misunderstanding
I would love to think this is the case, but if this is really a misunderstanding, the buyer would have contacted me first, tell me there is a problem. Even if not, he should file a Paypal dispute to get his money back. No dispute case has been opened until now. I'm very puzzled

2) Sabotage by competitors
Need I say more? I hope this is not the case but there's always the possibility, in fact I feel like I might be sabotaged. Come on, no one leaves negative feedback just like that without contacting the seller first. BUT, I wanna remain professional about this whole thing. I don't want to speculate so soon. It's still early.....I contacted eBay to request for his contact number, I tried calling the buyer up on his cell, it went straight to his voicemail. I left a voice message, I left him a message on eBay and I also sent him an email.
Yes, I spent money to do a long distance call....this shows how serious I am about upholding my reputation. I recorded my call to him and also recorded the voicemail I left.

Like I said, it's still early, I'm going to be professional about this and give him a chance to respond. This could be all a misunderstanding. Well, if not? Let's just say I know very strongly about my products and I won't allow my reputation to be defamed.

That's the purpose of this blog. I'm so glad I have a place to 'vent'!

Also, Thank You to all of you who has stayed by me, believed in me and supported me all the way! ♥

Well....I'm just going to chill now. Going to play Guitar Hero

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATES:

Ok, so after about 12 hours later, the buyer revised the feedback to a Neutral.
This is what actually happened....
like I said, the first thing I did was to call him up on his cell, no answer....so I left a voicemail, and also sent him an email
I also had a friend, who gave him a call. My friend is in the US and he's so sweet by helping me out (Thanks S)
So my friend managed to speak with him....turns out the guy brought it to Golfsmith and the guys told him it was a straight bore. So of course my friend was surprised and stood up for me....offered to meet him up to have a look at it, and even offered him a new sleeve (from my friend's own pocket....yes, I'm so touched). They guy said ok, but he has already installed the sleeve he received from me (Questionable point 1: U say its fake, and u go on and install and use it?).
So I sent the buyer a feedback revision form, and I went straight to sleep. It was like 4:30am in Singapore already!
When I woke up, I realized he changed it to a neutral. Hmmm, 'can't he have changed it to a positive?' I thought to myself.
I mean, I think I did enough, in fact more than enough. More than what any seller would do.
So do I think this might be a case of a 'red eye sabotage'? Honestly, maybe. I don't wanna sound like a sour grape but you can't blame me for feeling this way can you?:
- no contacting me first, straight negative
- no paypal dispute (he does not want his money back....just wants to leave a negative, for $20...quite cheap)
- says my sleeve is fake, but has installed and used it?
- after all that I've done to make things right, meeting him to have a look at his sleeve, offering a new one, all I got was a neutral?

Whatever. Maybe he is a genuine buyer who is hard to please. I'll take it.....thats the kick you have to take for selling on eBay.
Or
Maybe he is sent by a competitor with the intent to bring me down. Whatever too. I hope from this episode they'll actually know that I mean business and will run a long race just to make sure my reputation remains intact. Especially when I am accused of something I know is not true!

Closed case. I shall just leave it as it is. The buyer, revised his feedback (although only to a neutral).....but at least he removed those defamatory remarks, I shall just let it be. I'll not dig any further. Instead of wasting time, I'll write more guides for you guys!

2010 Taylormade Supertri FCT sleeves (Fakes, refurbished vs Genuine)

So, I wrote articles to spot fake FCT sleeves for the older FCT sleeves. Now that there's a newer more sophisticated FCT sleeve for the 2010 Supertri, the fakes are out.
Well, I have in my hands a fake and a refurbished. After taking some time to compare, I've made some findings....we shall compare the Fakes, Refurbished versus the Genuines.

By 'refurbished' ....let me explain what I mean. These are the FCT sleeves that are made of the same mould taken from the Taylormade factory. They are produced outside with that same mould. These FCT sleeves are better than the fakes, because they are adjustable....BUT are they done up to the exact specs? We would not know for sure, as long as the words (L, R, N, NU) are printed slightly off...even 0.01 degrees off, the angles that we play on our drivers will all be messed up some way or another. Some people may not mind....the Refurbished sleeves are much cheaper than the Genuine ones....but then some people are selling refurbished sleeves as genuines, and people buy them without knowing, afterall they look so similar. Pictures says a thousand words:

(Do not worry if you find the pictures too small. At the end of this page I will put up a link where you can view the big pictures)

So, we will be comparing 3 kinds of 2010 FCT sleeves here:
1) Genuine - 100% Taylormade (same as those installed on your Taylormade clubs)
2) Refurbished (made from the same mould, adjustable but may not be accurate)
3) Fakes (just replicas, not adjustable at all. Straight bore all the way)

Photobucket
We can see from the above picture, the 3 kinds of sleeves. Refurbished and genuine sleeves have tilt (which means they're adjustable)....the fake one is kinda straight. Also notice the very obvious difference in teeth groove on the fake (boxed in yellow)

Photobucket
Putting the refurbished and genuine sleeve side by side, its hard to tell any difference right?
Well I had the 2 in my hands and when I looked at it, the refurbished sleeve is one tone slightly brighter. However, this difference in color is NOT easy to tell. It really is very very close!

Photobucket
I noticed that on the refurbished sleeve, the line goes down way more than the genuine. Again, very close! Another picture below:

Photobucket
The fake sleeve are easy to tell by the teeth groove, also the hole for the screw to lock is red (for the fake). Pictured below:
Photobucket

Photobucket
I think this would be my pick for 'how to easily tell refurbished from genuines'. On the black part where the R, L, N, NU words are, you should see horizontal fine lines across....almost like fine laser machine prints. I looked through the refurbished one under the magnifying glass...it does not have it.

Photobucket
I notice that the paint tend to 'spill over' near the screw hole too.

Photobucket
Another look at the difference in length of the lines. Left is genuine, right is refurbished.

Photobucket
The R is different (font)...very close again. The gap for the genuine one is much smaller.

So, refurbished sleeves are adjustable, and 99.9% of buyers will not be able to tell them apart. Well the question is, how accurate are they made? Like I said, as long as the L, R, N and NU are printed slightly off, even 0.01 degrees off.....it changes everything.

I hope this helps.
Some may ask why on earth do I spend time doing this? Well, the answer is simple. I get questions everyday from buyers comparing me with other sellers on eBay. They say that my price is expensive - compared to the rest out there. People need to know you get what you pay for. Well especially now, when there is such a thing as 'refurbished sleeves'...well I am not sure if refurbished is the right word.....my vocab book is not working right now....haha, 5AM and I am writing this....brain freeze. If you guys can think of the right word, let me know.

Oh by the way, I only sell genuine sleeves. I am in no way tempted to go the refurbished route, although I can make more profits. LOL. Its hard to build a reputation, and harder to keep it clean. I won't risk it.
